Keep and improve C-Bus
Where the system is sound, address a faulty control, scene or interface and document what still works. Control4 need not be added until it answers a real need.
Read about C-Bus assessment →Keep what works. Bring compatible lighting into Control4, Apple Home and Siri.
NorthTech assesses your existing C-Bus or Wiser system, documents its condition and designs an upgrade around equipment that can genuinely be supported. Selected lights and scenes may be available in Apple Home through Control4 after the full integration path is checked.
No blanket rewiring or compatibility promise. The installed models and available interfaces determine the scope.

Those answers come from the hardware, project files and behaviour of your installation. We make the assessment before recommending an integration or replacement.
A useful proposal identifies what the C-Bus system does today, what you want it to do next and which interfaces support those functions. NorthTech can then scope design, electrical work, programming and testing with the right trades.
What to bring to the assessmentAn assessment may point to a focused repair, a supported integration or a staged replacement. These are decision paths, not fixed packages.

Read about C-Bus assessment →Use an appropriate interface and supported driver to bring selected lighting functions into a wider Control4 design. We specify the exact controls and feedback before quoting.
Explore Control4 smart homes →If parts are unreliable or the desired functions are unsupported, plan a staged change. The design identifies what can stay, what requires electrical work and how the home will operate during the change.
Discuss a staged plan →Fixed electrical work is scoped with an appropriately licensed electrical contractor. Hardware and software compatibility are checked for the specific property.
Potentially. If a supported interface and driver make selected C-Bus lights or scenes work properly in Control4, eligible lighting can then be assessed for Apple Home and Siri through Control4 X4. NorthTech checks each link before promising the result.
“Turn on the kitchen lights” or “Set the evening scene” are examples to test after commissioning. The exact lights, scene behaviour and names depend on the project configuration.
The C-Bus model and interface, Control4 driver and X4 version, which devices Apple Home can expose, a Control4 Connect subscription and how each command behaves in daily use.
Control4 lists lights and lighting scenes among supported Apple Home device types and says Apple integration is a Connect feature. Read the Control4 release notes and Control4 Connect details. No C-Bus model is guaranteed by those general platform documents.

In this Essendon home, a complete C-Bus lighting system works with integrated Control4 automation. The wider installation also includes security, access, CCTV and music across family and outdoor spaces.
This project shows NorthTech's combined design capability. It is not presented as a retrofit of an older C-Bus system; your own upgrade path needs an assessment.

A Control4 upgrade can be considered alongside the systems you already own or want to add. Each connection is specified for the exact products and interfaces.
Selected C-Bus circuits, scenes and keypads, where the interface supports the desired controls.
Relevant alarm states and camera views in a coordinated design, where the selected products support them.
Music zones and entertainment actions planned with lighting scenes for real rooms and routines.
Compatible intercom, locks, blinds and climate controls considered around the way the home is used.
Scope before promises. A shared app or brand name does not establish two-way status, remote control or reliable operation during an outage. NorthTech confirms those behaviours in the proposal.
Share the controller model, your goals and any problems with lighting or Wiser.
Review hardware, project files, networks, scenes and the condition of the system.
Specify what stays, what changes and exactly how Control4 will interact with it.
Coordinate the approved work, commission the system and hand it over clearly.
Possibly. NorthTech checks the actual modules, wiring, keypads, condition and project information before recommending what to retain. We do not promise that every older component can stay.
No. The Wiser name has been used for different connected-home products. The exact model and its relationship to your C-Bus installation must be identified first.
That depends on a supported interface and driver for the installed equipment and the functions you want. We scope commands, feedback and testing for the specific system.
Potentially, for selected lights and scenes. NorthTech first checks whether the installed C-Bus system can be represented reliably in Control4. Control4 X4 supports eligible lights and lighting scenes in Apple Home, with Apple integration available through Control4 Connect. We confirm the exact functions, subscription and setup for your property.
The answer depends on the existing lighting design, selected interface, controller, network and backup power. The intended local and remote behaviour should be documented and tested for your property.
There is no useful fixed price before we know the equipment, condition, number of circuits, integration scope and any electrical work. The assessment leads to a tailored proposal.
Tell NorthTech what is installed, what is frustrating and what you would like the home to do next. We can assess the system and explain a practical Control4 path, including Apple Home and Siri where the equipment supports them.
Share your suburb, the equipment you know about and what you want the home to do. We will confirm a practical next step.
