Investigate a fault
A light that flickers, ignores a scene or stays off needs a diagnosis of the fitting, driver, control signal and programming before a part is replaced.
DALI lighting · Melbourne
DALI can give a home or business precise control of compatible lights, groups and scenes. If an existing installation needs attention or different controls, the first step is to understand its equipment and programming. NorthTech can assess what is installed and explain the practical options.
Ask about your DALI systemDALI is a digital protocol for lighting control. Compatible equipment can be addressed individually or in groups, dimmed and arranged into scenes. That flexibility is useful when different areas need different lighting behaviour.
The protocol also allows a controller to ask devices for information, but energy reporting and detailed diagnostics are not universal features. They depend on the specific products and DALI parts implemented in the installation.

We identify the fittings, DALI control gear and any devices that are not responding as expected. The DALI name alone does not tell us which features each product supports.
The controller, groups, scenes, sensors and wall controls explain how the installation is meant to work. We check what is present before suggesting a new interface or wider integration.
Commissioning records, schedules and available configuration files help separate a failed device from a programming or design problem. Missing records may change the work needed.

A sound installation may need different groups, scenes or sensor behaviour as rooms change use. The available options depend on the installed controller and devices.
Where equipment is unreliable or the controls no longer suit the property, compare what can be retained with what needs changing. Any Control4 link needs a supported interface and a tested scope.
Bring any controller model numbers, fitting details or project files you have, and tell us which lights or controls need attention. We will explain the next step after reviewing the installation.
